Forty men enjoyed a day out on the green today, perfect weather, perfect greens, what more could you ask?

Lead Jane Herd-Evans and Skip Fiona Dowling had a win over Lead Meredith Taylor and Skip Rhonda Byrnes.
Mens Open Pairs saw Lead Trevor Christensen and Skip Robbie Hannah have a win over Lead Keith Sleep and Skip Maurie Strano.
Some great shots by all players in both the Ladies and Men’s games kept the large crowd of supporters entertained for the whole afternoon.

The B grade Fours now has 4 teams, and the draw is on the Boards.
Competition Results
The District playoffs for the Mixed Pairs was on Sunday and our Burnett representatives Julie & Keith Whalley lost the semi-final to The Waves pairing of Jenny Dingle & Ian McMah.
In the other semi-final Gin Gin defeated Bargara. The final will be played at a later date with the winner advancing to the zone playoffs later in the year.
Competition Call:
No Competition call now until after the Easter break. However, members are encouraged to call any outstanding games by mutual agreement.
Social bowls events

Wide Bay Bowls Classic (WBBC)
Round 4 ‘Catch Up’ game Vs Urangan on Saturday 12th April.
Burnett defeated Urangan 4 rinks to 1 rink.
Congratulations to the following winning teams – Men’s Pairs (20-8), Men’s Triples (28-13), Mixed Fours (28-14) and the Ladies Triples (25-22).
The Men’s Four were locked at 21 all after 21 ends and had to play an extra end to determine the winner.
Burnett held shot; however, Urangan drew a wresting toucher which proved to be the winning shot as it wasn’t removed or hit.
Burnett now qualifies for the Finals which are to be played on Saturday 26th of April at Pialba.
Burnett will play Urangan at 9.00am with the winner to play Bargara in the Final at 1.00pm.
Selected teams will be posted on the Noticeboard on Tuesday 22nd April.
Any qualified players that are unavailable should advise the Games Director (Keith Whalley).

Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11am – 9pm, Thursday 2pm – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
Friday 19th of April the Club will be CLOSED as it is Good Friday
Friday 26th April – the Goose Club raffle will be drawn at 7.00pm – tickets are $1 each with 15+ prizes to be won.
Tickets can be purchased from the bar or bought on the night.
The members draw will be conducted after the Goose Club draw – members must be present at the draw to claim the $230.
Live entertainment on Friday evening will be provided by Frost Bite N Rhythm.
So come down to the Club for a great night out with the chance to win some cash and raffle prizes.
The Bistro will be operating on a full menu, so come along and try something from the new menu.
