There is something for everyone at Childers Historical Complex on Childers Heritage Day 2025, Saturday 10 May from 9 am to 3 pm.
Whether you’re an early bird or prefer to enjoy the afternoon sun, we’ve got activities lined up all day to keep you entertained.
Morning magic
Kickstart your day with some fantastic music performances starting at 9.30 am.
Enjoy the melodious tunes from the Childers State School String Orchestra and the Isis String Beans from Isis State High.
It’s the perfect way to set the tone for a day of fun!
All day adventures
From 9 am to 3 pm, there’s no shortage of activities to keep you busy.
Snap a photo with our beautiful young Clydesdale, Bluebell, or immerse yourself in the Great War Living History with full costume re-enactments by Maryborough.
Marvel at the display of working small engines by the Wide Bay Historic Machinery Club, and don’t forget to grab some billy tea and damper or a sausage sizzle and cold drinks at the Rotary ‘kitchen’.
Kids can enjoy fun and games from 10 am with prizes up for grabs, and everyone can try their hand at blacksmithing or the mini cross cut saw painting activity for just $10* at the Rotunda.
Feeling competitive? Join the cross cut saw fastest team competition and win $100 cash if you’re the fastest – only $5 per team.
Afternoon chill
As the day winds down, relax and unwind from 1 pm to 3 pm with the soothing sounds of Me & Uke.
There’s plenty of seating, toilets, and food available, with food being served until 2.30 pm.
It’s the perfect way to end a day of excitement and fun.
