The Hitz fm 93.9 Bundaberg Show is back at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct from 28 to 30 May with an exciting mix of new attractions and familiar favourites.
Bundaberg Regional Council has shown its support for the popular event as the naming sponsor of the Main Pavilion and Horse Show Jump.
Bundaberg Regional Council Mayor Helen Blackburn said Council was proud to continue its support for the annual community event.
“The Bundaberg Show is now in its 131st year and is a real highlight on the community calendar,” Mayor Blackburn said.
“This year’s program is packed with plenty of activities for young and old and the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct is the perfect place for the community to gather together and enjoy what’s on offer.
“I would encourage everyone to come along and have some fun!”
The Hitz fm 93.9 Bundaberg Show program of events is available online with featured daily entertainment including Crack Up Comedy shows, face painting, children’s circus workshops and roaming stilt walkers.
Sponsorships and volunteers vital
Bundaberg Show Society President Maree See said they were grateful for Council’s continued support.
“The sponsorship from the BRC is a vital part of our show,” Maree said.
“This makes a huge difference with our ever-rising costs to produce this event.
“This year the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct is once again presented to perfection.”
Maree said sponsorships and volunteers were vital to produce an event this size.
“We need our business community to support this annual event and spread the word about our show,” she said.
“Our exhibitors can come and present their products to approximately 18,000 visitors local and interstate.
“We’ve got volunteers everywhere and we couldn’t do it without them, they are essential.
“Our management committee of nine are all volunteers and on top of that we have 75 plus volunteers helping.

“Our show is very important to the people of the Bundaberg Region, offering an event for all and a venue for neighbours, friends and relatives to sit, talk, relax and enjoy the event without the everyday stress of life.
“Once our visitor has purchased their entrance ticket, they do not have to spend any more money if they do not wish to.
“Families are encouraged to bring their buggy with food and drinks and just have fun.”
The festivities will continue across the weekend with the Gin Gin Show being held from 31 May to 1 June 2025.
The Childers Show, which took place over the weekend, was also supported with a Council fee waiver.
