Childers Arts Space and the Palace Backpackers Memorial will be closed to the public on Monday 23 June 2025.
As we mark the 25th anniversary of the Palace Backpackers Hostel Fire, the space will be open only to victims families and survivors, as a place of quiet remembrance and reflection.
