Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting formal tenders for the purchase of property located at 160 Hughes Road, Bargara – more recently known as the AgTech Hub.
The unique asset was constructed in 1997 and originally designed to serve as the administration offices for the former Burnett Shire Council.
Featuring a single-storey, rendered brick building the property encompasses approximately 2,736 square metres of floor space.
The building is one of a kind in the Bargara area.
Zoned “community facilities’, it lends itself to opportunities for a range of industries.
The property will be sold in ‘as is’ condition with the contract subject to Council remediating the encroachment of the carparks into the road reserve.
To find out more, view the tender on VendorPanel here.
The tender closes on 5 August 2025.

Retro fit it into a Shopping Mall. Time to put Bargara on the map.
1 section can be a Coles
1 section can be a Target/Kmart
1 section can be a hardware store maybe Home Hardware or Miter 10
2 sections can be mixed smaller shops
If we improved the shopping at Bargara the surrounding area could really take off. Quanba can become housing.
Jim Lane is on the money here!
Alert Stocklands or Mirvac they might do it… they have both sold there respective centers in Bundaberg already.
