The CRT Primary Schools Program is delivering support for projects that will make a meaningful difference to rural and regional primary schools across Australia.
Burnett Heads State School is one of 25 successful applicants receiving a $2,000 grant as part of the 2025 program.
Brian Gordon, Northside Produce Owner, said schools played a vital role in their local community.
“This program recognises the important role that P&F associations play in supporting the growth and development of the next generation,” he said.
“CRT is proud to provide a helping hand to support Burnett Heads State School with the purchase of the Oliver Library system.
The initiative will enhance learning by giving students access to a modern, fully functioning library system that supports reading, research and digital literacy.
The new system will ensure that both current and future students can access resources quickly, build vital research skills, and develop a strong sense of pride and ownership in their school library.
Rebecca Gay, Head of Independents at CRT, said the response to this year’s program was highly competitive.
“We received more than 88 applications, which made it a difficult task for the selection panel to narrow down to just 25 successful recipients,” she said.
“It’s clear these schools, and their P&F groups, are passionate about delivering opportunities for their students.
“CRT stores are part of these local communities, and we see the incredible work schools do every day.
Supporting initiatives that grow confident, capable young people is something we’re proud to be part of.”
