Trace the legacy of one of music’s most successful partnerships as the acclaimed concert production of The Simon & Garfunkel Story comes to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
After a series of acclaimed performances in London’s West End and an extensive international tour spanning over 50 countries, The Simon & Garfunkel Story brings its most extensive nationwide tour yet to Bundaberg in September.
Art Garfunkel himself praised it as “A Great Show” when he surprised the cast on stage after attending a New York performance in 2024.
The production tells the tale of how two young boys from Queens, New York, went on to become the world’s most successful music duo of all time.
Starting from humble beginnings as 50s rock ‘n roll duo Tom & Jerry, The Simon & Garfunkel Story takes audiences through all the songs and stories that shaped the band, the dramatic split, their individual solo careers and ends with a stunning recreation of the legendary 1981 Central Park reunion concert.
The show includes projection images including 1960s photographs and film footage set the scene, accompanied by a full band as the cast perform all the hits including Mrs Robinson, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer, and The Sound Of Silence.
This is a show not to be missed by any fan of the music and era.
The Simon & Garfunkel Story 2025 cast features American performer Israel Bloodgood as Paul Simon and Luke Hogan from the UK as Art Garfunkel.
The duo is accompanied by Nick Martin on bass, Harrison White on keyboards and guitar, and Harry Denton on Drums.
Producer, creative director and writer Dean Elliott said they were excited to be bring the show back again after its initial tour.
“We are thrilled to bring The Simon & Garfunkel Story back to Australia where the show first toured in 2016,” Elliott said.
“Since then, it has grown into a truly global success.
“We’re especially excited to return to our favourite Australian venues and introduce audiences to the phenomenal talents of Israel Bloodgood and Luke Hogan, who have been wowing crowds across the UK, including a sell-out performance earlier this year at The London Palladium.
“The music of Simon & Garfunkel continues to transcend generations, and we can’t wait to share this special experience once again with our growing legion of fans down under.”
