The region’s artists are invited to showcase their artistic talents in Bundaberg Regional Galleries HERE + now 2025 exhibition.
The annual group exhibition, now in its seventh year, highlights the Bundaberg Region’s diverse and active creative community in a curated display of contemporary art.
Expressions of interest to be included in the exhibition open on Saturday 14 June and close Friday 18 July.
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Arts and Heritage portfolio spokesperson Councillor John Learmonth said the gallery team encouraged entries in a wide range of art mediums.
“The annual HERE + now exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to be exhibited in a professional setting among other local artists,” Cr Learmonth said.
“The exhibition aims to highlight the breadth and depth of talent across the region, and all visual art forms are accepted including 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional and digital works.”
To be eligible for consideration, submitting artists must reside in or have a strong affiliation with the Bundaberg Region, and have created their artwork after 1 July 2024.
Cr Learmonth said the exhibition provided an insight into the subjects and themes that resonated with artists over the past year.
“Exhibition visitors are treated to a regional overview of a different kind, presented through the lens of how our incredible local artists see the world around us.
“It is a snapshot of this point in time that is particular and distinctive to our region.”

Artists will be advised on the outcome of their submission on Friday 8 August.
HERE + now 2025 will be shown in Gallery Two at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery from 13 September to 1 November.
The final selection of artworks for inclusion in the display is at the discretion of Bundaberg Regional Galleries and based on the curatorial intent of the exhibition.
