Between 50 and 100 motorcycles dating back to the 1900s will be descending on the Bundaberg Region for the upcoming Historical Motorcycle Club of Queensland annual rally.

Bikes from pre-1980 and dating back to around 1903 will be part of the event, to be held at Frank Coulthard Oval on Saturday, 16 April.

Treasurer of the Historic Motorcycle Club of Queensland’s Burnett area Dave Hargreaves said the event was a great opportunity to get out on the Easter weekend and see some fantastic bikes.

“This will be a great weekend for the club as we are having a rally on Sunday but providing the opportunity for the community to see the bikes on Saturday morning between 9am and noon,” Dave said.

“Each of our divisions all operate independently so every weekend there is a rally somewhere in Queensland that we can attend, but Easter is always our turn.

“There are people coming from Brisbane and Mackay, hopefully be about 50 to 60 people involved in the rally on Sunday morning which will go through the back roads back to Apple Tree Creek, and back to Bundy.”
