Get your gowns, bow ties and dancing shoes ready because tickets to the popular Milbi Gala Ball will be on sale from noon today.

Guests at the Milbi Gala Ball didn’t just enjoy an evening of entertainment, they also dug deep, raising $23,000 for the Sea Turtle Alliance.

A message stick, which travelled to the Milbi Festival along the song-lines of the region’s First Nations People, helped to launch the event and share Indigenous culture.

Visitors to the new Mon Repos Visitor Centre will be treated to Indigenous-inspired cuisine as the new on-site Gidji Café opens its doors.

For Gooreng Gooreng Elder Douglas Graham, feeling the sand between his toes as he returned to his traditional Country was a special moment. Uncle Douglas is just one of the Woorabinda Elders who returned for a symbolic coming home as part of the Milbi Festival.
