Explore our region: Alexandra Park

Set on five hectares, within walking distance of the bustling CBD, Alexandra Park is one of Bundaberg’s premier spots.

Popular with families and visitors, areas include an inclusive children’s playground, covered barbeque area, picturesque rotunda, fig tree garden and the popular zoo.

A large play area is located at the front of the park along Quay Street.

This space has a range of innovative play equipment with something for all abilities, including a wheelchair friendly carousel and basket swing.

The playground and seating areas are naturally shaded by magnificent fig trees.

An adjacent large open area provides the perfect space for playing games, sports, and enjoying fresh air and sunshine.

Located in Alexandra Park is the Council-run zoo which was established in 1911.

With free entry, the zoo is a great activity for families and visitors.

The Zoo and Aquarium Association accredited Alexandra Park Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in Queensland.

Home to Australian and exotic animals including dingoes, emus, wallabies, cotton-top tamarin monkeys, parrots and reptiles, it’s a great way for kids to learn about animals and conservation.
