Bundaberg Brass Band will have its first public performance of the year on Sunday, 3 March at Bargara.

New or returning members of all ages and abilities are invited to attend rehearsals on Tuesdays for the Brass Academy from 6pm to 7pm and for the band from 7pm to 9pm.

There is a small supply of instruments available for new members to use. For more information call Neil McCabe (4155 2537) or Greg Goldsworthy (Brass Academy leader) on 0427 619 767.

“We have the capacity to increase all sections, but particularly need more cornets and trombones due to some of our younger members leaving to go to uni,” the newsletter says.

“We are still putting in requests for grants to continue with renovations to our band hall.

“Painting or new cladding of the exterior is our next priority so we're hoping to hear some good news soon.”
