An inspiring program designed to provide women with a one-stop-shop for advice and information is coming to Bundaberg next month.

The Your Life, Your Choice workshops are part of the Zonta Club of Bundaberg’s aim to provide education and opportunity to regional women.

Event organiser Naomi Nicholls said the event would feature 15 workshops covering areas including business and personal growth, finance, legal and health.

“There will be many diverse, exciting topics such as guided meditation, eating for health, financial independence, tax tips and traps, turning a passion into a business, women travelling alone, legal issues and how to workshop,” she said.

“We will also have a small market place with interesting wares and a range of exhibits on show which will incorporate community services and organisations.”

Ms Nicholls said the event would also feature keynote speaker Lea Schodel, founder and CEO of Mindful Wealth.

“Lea has a goal of supporting women into their power, master their relationship with money and live a freedom-filled life they love,” Ms Nicholls said.

“This event will be full of networking opportunities and morning tea and lunch will also be provided to participants.”

Ms Nicholls said the event would be held on Saturday, 25 May at CQUniversity from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

“We are very excited to be hosting this event,” she said.

Tickets will be available to be purchased from 9am Saturday 6 April 2019.

Zonta history

Zonta was founded in 1919 and today spreads over 66 countries with 1200 clubs and 30,000 committed members including many areas in Australia.

Ms Nicholls said Zonta’s focus was solely on women providing the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

“Australia is relatively progressive compared with many places which are not democracies and women are given no status at all,” she said.

“Zontians work towards empowering all women globally.

“By supporting Zonta we can contribute to the status of women locally and internationally.”
