Cupcake and cookie decorating will be on the agenda for the school holidays this week.
Cupcake and cookie decorating will be on the agenda for the school holidays this week.

It will be all about sprinkles and icing this Saturday when Burnett Heads Youth Group hosts a Cookie and Cupcake Decorating Day.

The free school holiday activity will be held from 10am in the Burnett Heads Community Hall, supported by the Burnett Heads Progress and Sports Association.

Youth group organiser Tanya McLoughlin said all children from Burnett Heads and the broader Bundaberg area were welcome to attend.

“Our aim is to provide affordable holiday activities for local children and their families,” Tanya said.

“We hosted a movie night earlier in the holidays and now we’re hosting a Cookie and Cupcake Decorating Day.

“It’s free, everything is provided on the day and the first 20 families through the door will receive a coffee voucher from Catherine’s Lighthouse Bakery.

“If you want, you can leave your children at the hall and grab a coffee up the road.”

Children will be under the supervision of a Blue Card accredited youth group volunteer.

Burnett Heads Youth Group is funded by the association and through community donations.
