Expressions of interest are now open for the 2021 Childers Festival, with stallholders from near and far urged to secure a spot in the annual event.
The main festival day culminates on Sunday, 25 July when the Bruce Highway closes and over 300 food and market stalls line the historic Childers streets.
Bundaberg Regional Council's arts, culture and events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said the festival had been operating for more than two decades and had become one of the region's premier attractions.
“The festival is a hugely popular event that draws in crowds from throughout Queensland and around Australia,” he said.
“It was originally held over one day but has grown to feature an exciting four-day schedule that embraces an appealing range of local activities, events and tours.”
Cr Learmonth said interested parties could register for the Sunday festival day via the online stall holder application.
“We are waiving stallholder fees for local Childers businesses and encouraging stalls featuring sewers, growers, seamstresses, bakers, makers, painters, quilters, potters etc,” he said.
“Our region is filled with creative people and we want to make sure they have the opportunity to showcase their work within the festival.”
“It's simple to register your interest, just fill in the form with your details and someone from Council's events team will be in touch.”
The 2021 Childers Festival is proudly presented by the Bundaberg Regional Council.
Expressions of interest applications are open until the end of April.
