Weekend Bites brings mini carnival of fun to region

Weekend Bites Bundaberg
Weekend Bites is coming to Bundaberg from this weekend with plenty of rides and showbags on offer.

Described as a “mini Ekka funfair” the community will be able to enjoy two weekends of rides, dagwood dogs and good times when Weekend Bites arrives in the region.

The pop-up carnival has been travelling through Queensland and will set up at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct from this Friday.

Organiser Jade Evans said Weekend Bites offered all the thrills and fun of a show but on a smaller scale.

“There will be sideshow games, food trucks and showbags as well as dagwood dogs and more,” Jade said.

“We will have the biggest tea cup ride in Australia, a ferris wheel and bumper cars.

“There will also be free face painting and an animal farm- something for the whole family!”

Jade said it was the first time Weekend Bites had made it to the Bundaberg Region and the whole community was invited to head along to enjoy the carnival fun.

“This event was created to help support small businesses during event cancellations,” Jade said.

“We are so grateful and excited to bring the event to Bundaberg and will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday as well as next weekend.”

Weekend Bites will be held at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct, University Drive, from this Friday.

Entry costs $2 and tickets can be pre-purchased here.
