Less than one month until Bundy’s first EDM festival

DAYZFEST Music Festival
The DAYZFEST Music Festival team are looking forward to bringing their EDM event to the region.

Some of Australia’s most prolific electronic dance music producers and DJs will soon grace the stage at the upcoming DAYZFEST Music Festival.

The event is a first of its kind for the region and boasts a line-up of EDM artists including Stafford Brothers, Brooke Evers and Bonka at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct on Saturday, 23 October.

The event also provides local up-and-coming artists the opportunity to perform on a world-class stage.

The music festival is a collaboration between Cameron Brown, Bundaberg local Stephen Smith and his wife Clare Smith.

The three musicians have used their COVID downtime to plan the first day-
festival of its kind in Bundaberg, working with suppliers and performers within the events industry to put the local show together.

With less than a month until go time, Cameron said there was a distinct mood of excitement within the community.

“We’ve done a lot of work to engage with local music fans and businesses alike, and we’ve been quite humbled by the level of support and positivity from everyone,” he said.

As well as bringing a great event to the region, the DAYZFEST Music Festival team said they were also looking to inspire a future economic benefit to the area.

“We chose Bundaberg because our business partner Steve is a Bundy boy,” Cameron said.

“It’s our hope though that a festival like DAYZFEST will inspire other organisers to consider the Wide Bay-Burnett region as a destination for future events.

“It’s such a beautiful part of Australia and is populated with so many enthusiastic young people, and a very proactive local government.”

DAYZFEST Music Festival will be hosted at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct on October 23.
