This weekend the Playhouse Theatre is bringing All Together Now to Bundaberg audiences to celebrate live theatre and togetherness.

The global event, which has been described as “90 minutes of pure joy”, is not the only treat for local audiences.

The 2022 program will be launched with plenty of great theatre in store for the coming year and the chance for audience members to be the first to purchase subscriptions.

Bundaberg Players Inc President Nigel Dick said the 2022 program promises to be action packed.

“We are starting the year off with a hysterical comedy, following it up with a gripping thriller and continuing with some amazing productions,” Nigel said.

“Audiences will be able to get their 2022 subscriptions at the performances, or online afterwards.”

Directors of All Together Now and husband and wife team Christopher and Belinda Arnold, are looking forward to Bundaberg being part of the worldwide event.

“This weekend this show will be performed over 5,500 times, by more than 2,500 community theatres and schools in 40 different countries by more than 120,000 performers,” the duo said.

“Audiences are going to be entertained with music from Broadway’s best, past and present.

“From Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat from the 1950s musical Guys and Dolls, to James and The Giant Peach’s Middle of the Moment, there will be something for everyone, with spectacular lighting, costumes and choreography.”

Performances are on for one weekend only, to coincide with performances around the world – this Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 7.30 pm and matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm.

The show runs for 90 minutes.

Tickets to All Together Now can be purchased online or at the Playhouse Box Office one hour before showtime.

2022 subscriptions will be available after each performance and then on the theatre’s website.
