Frodo the bullmastiff cross may not be a small hobbit, but Bundaberg RSPCA staff say he is a precious protector, and he is waiting for a new home.
Frodo is looking for a new family who have experience with larger breeds and will need gentle guidance on how to calmly go on excitable adventures with them.
“He needs ongoing commitment to his training, as he is not aware of his own size and strength,” staff said.
“He is keen to learn and will benefit greatly from positive reinforcement methods. He still has a lot to learn about his world.
“Slow exposure to positive experiences will help him understand his environment.”
Frodo would be best suited to a new home with no other pets, but he may be open to meet other furry friends with a similar size and playstyle.
“This bundle of love will also need someone home more often than not as well as lots of mental and physical stimulation to keep him busy in mind and heart,” staff said.
Frodo is almost one-and-half-years old, and he comes fully vaccinated, desexed and with a complete health check. His adoption fee is $350.
