A different type of movie experience is on offer this Valentines Day, with Macadamia’s Australia hosting a screening of The Secret: Dare to Dream under the stars at The Orchard Table terrace lawn.
Guests are invited to relax on sling back chairs with a delicious orchard picnic and a choice of bubbly, beer, wine or brewed drink on arrival, with the event starting at 6.30pm.
Macadamias Australia Agri Tourism Facility Manager Kiri Braid said the evening would be hosted out under the stars and surrounded by the macadamia trees.
“People can expect a beautiful romantic movie under the stars in our Orchard Table terrace lawn, seated on sling back chairs,” Kiri said.
“They will also be treated to a picnic table with a delicious gourmet picnic and of course popcorn and macadamia nuts.
“Guests can purchase further drinks as well as gelato made for us by Nana’s Pantry.”
Tickets are $55 per person which need to be pre-booked by calling Macadamias Australia direct on 0458 966 303 to secure a place.
Kiri said the team had a range of other exciting initiatives they were looking forward to rolling out if a positive response to the event was experienced.
“This the first of many special events that we will bring to The Orchard Table and Macadamias Australia and we are also planning some unique special farm experiences in the future,” Kiri said.
“If the Valentine’s movie night is well received, we will make an outdoor foodie night a regular occurrence, we will be bringing together other exciting ideas such as long table gourmet lunches in the orchard, high teas, business breakfasts and much more.
“We are licensed and serve local beverages as well as utilising Bundaberg’s abundant local produce for all of our cooking.”
Since opening The Orchard Table in October, Macadamias Australia have been kept busy with many new visitors and the team are looking forward to continuing their work as the borders open further.
“The local community has embraced us and always make sure that when they have guests, they bring them out to The Orchard Table and The Visitor Experience,” Kiri said.
“Word of mouth though interstate domestic travellers has been amazing so we are excited to see what will happen once the international borders open.”
