Over the past two weeks the team from Blue Gum Farm children’s program have been visiting schools and venues across the Bundaberg Region with their popular theatre workshop and concert series.
“The Moo Crew” is a brand-new Blue Gum Farm theatre program and has made its debut as part of a large Central and South East Qld tour.
The tour took to Gladstone, Tambo-Blackall, Gin Gin and Bundaberg regions as well as the North Burnett.
Although having recently given birth to her third child, creator and coordinator Cilla Pershouse has been in the thick of the production and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
“I have the most amazing team of professional performers from across Queensland and the success of this program is thanks to them,” she said.
“Their passion for their art form and their skill and ability to engage with the children and audiences is just wonderful.
“I simply couldn’t do it without them!”
The series has been supported by Arts Queensland’s Touring Fund as well as the Bundaberg Regional Arts Development Fund.
Cilla sings the praises of these arts funds and is very happy that their support brings more arts and cultural programs for local kids.
“We are incredibly lucky to be supported by Arts Qld and Bundaberg Regional Council’s RADF,” she said.
“Bringing a full-scale theatre production to regional areas is a big deal and without their support it wouldn’t be possible.”
This tour won’t be the last of the Blue Gum Farm productions for 2022.
The team will be back on the road later in the year to deliver a series of concerts and theatre programs to support flood-impacted communities in our region.
