Gin Gin has a new street library as part of the Paint the Town REaD initiative.

The early literacy community program encourages the whole community to read, talk, sing, rhyme, draw and move with children from birth, so that they will be ready to read, write and actively engage at school and in community life.

The new Paint Gin Gin REaD Street Library is located outside Gin Gin State School in Milden Street and is a place where children and families will have the opportunity to choose a book and share a book as they walk past each day.
