Award-winning concert pianist Alexander Gadjiev is bringing his national tour to Bundaberg, performing at Christ Church in November.

The concert is part of the Sydney International Piano Competition in partnership with Bundaberg Sinfonietta Concert Series which will be held on Sunday 13 November at 2.30 pm.

Choir Mistress of Christ Church Sue Davis said it was a fantastic event for the region to host.

“The Bundaberg Sinfonietta has hosted the previous winner of the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2016 as well as the runner up,” Sue said.

“Both of these soloists are in constant demand on the international concert circuit.

“Because of the enthusiastic reception of the Bundaberg audience for the previous winners, the Sydney International Piano Competition Organisers were keen to bring the 2021 winner to town.

“Alexander has just completed a European tour and will soon be embarking on a national tour of Australia, so we are very privileged to be able to hear this world-class performer here in Bundaberg.”

The concert will be held at Christ Church Bundaberg, 59 Woongarra St, with tickets at $45 adult, $40 concession and $20 student.

It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance via the website here.
