Be merry, jingle the bells and deck the halls – Bundaberg Regional Council’s annual Christmas program is back with festive favourites and new community offerings.

With major Council Christmas event tickets on sale from 16 November, the 2022 Christmas program is the biggest yet.

It kicks off on December 1 and is set to provide a wide range of festive season delights right up until the week of Christmas.

Council’s award-winning events Merry + Bright and Bauble Dining will return to once again delight and dazzle.

Free family movies, carols, dining experiences and creative Christmas-themed activities round out the jam-packed 21-day program.

Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said this year there was one extra element to increase the enjoyment of Council’s popular Christmas events.

“This year a portion of ticket sales for Council-run events will be donated to the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Appeal to make food hampers for residents in need,” Cr Learmonth said.

“That includes our big events Merry + Bright and Bauble Dining.

“With hundreds of tickets available it’s sure to be a big boost for those most in need this festive season.

“Knowing that you’ll be helping to make Christmas day special for local families is just one more reason to enjoy our fabulous events program.”

When booking Council events from the Christmas program, residents will be able to see how much will be donated to the appeal through the ticket sale.

Cr Learmonth said with more than 20 Christmas event and activities included in the program there was sure to be something for everyone.
