Career Employment Australia is a not-for-profit registered training organisation that delivers a number of State and Federal Government programs, funds charitable services and operates several social enterprises.

CEA have offered the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) program (or its predecessor, the Language, Literacy and Numeracy program) in Bundaberg since 2010.

Vocational Education and Training Manager Nick Lambert said the program was focused on free vocational training in a number of sectors.

“Certificate III in Individual Support is available in Ageing and Disability, with strong job prospects for those who successfully complete training in these areas,” he said.

“Other certificates are also available in Community Services, Information Technology, Business and Health Administration.”

Nick said jobseekers or those working on a casual or part-time basis were likely to be eligible to attend the SEE program and were encouraged to apply.

“All training is provided in a safe and supportive face-to-face training environment with literacy support for those who need it,” he said.

“You must be able to attend at least two days per week (between Monday to Thursday) from 9 am to 2.30 pm.

“Anyone aged from 15-67 is eligible to attend.”

CEA is located in Bundaberg at Level 4 / 2 Barolin Street.
