Community invited to Get Involved Day

Get Involved Day
The Get Involved Day will be held from 10 am until noon Sunday 22 January at the Moore Park Beach Community Hall.

Moore Park Beach residents can find out about local community organisations at a ‘Get Involved Day' being organised by the Moore Park Beach Community Association.

Secretary Alan Corbett said with so many people moving to the area, it was a great way to showcase what the community has to offer.

“At recent local events and on social media, we have seen many new residents wanting to get involved with the community,” Mr Corbett said.

“We decided to get all community groups together in one place so residents could chat with each group, find out what they do, and whether it’s something they might like to be involved.

“It will be a one-stop shop to make it easy for residents, new and old.

“Furthermore, if residents can’t find a group that suits them, they can suggest a new one and we will see what we can do to get like-minded people together.”

Groups and clubs who will have displays on the day include:

• Moore Park Beach Arts Inc

• Moore Park Beach Rural Fire Service

• Moore Park Beach Neighbourhood Watch

• The Pink House

• Moore Park Beach Community Association- The Hub

• Moore Park Beach Scouts

• Moore Park Beach SES

• Moore Park Beach Men’s Shed

• Moore Park Lions

• Moore Park SLSC

The Get Involved Day will be held from 10 am until noon Sunday 22 January at the Moore Park Beach Community Hall.

Other organisations interested in having a display can email mpbcommunityassociation@gmail.com but they will need to be quick.
