The Robertson Brothers are thrilled to be returning with their new heart-warming and uplifting 1960s Variety TV Show.

Get ready to experience an interactive flash back to the 1960s as the kings of variety television, The Robertson Brothers, come to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

Geoff and Ben Robertson are the charming and cheeky hosts for this nostalgic night of entertainment with their performance of the 1960s Variety TV Show.

They pay tribute to the musical giants of the 60s, including The Bee Gees, Simon and Garfunkel, Roy Orbison, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Frankie Valli, The Everly Brothers, Neil Sedaka and The Seekers.

Ben said they were excited to perform in the Bundaberg Region after their sold-out national tour last year.

A variety show, also known as variety arts or variety entertainment, is entertainment made up of a variety of acts including musical performances and was all the rage during the beginning of television.

The Robertson Brothers’ 1960s Variety TV Show audience will be taken on a unique and emotional journey back to the best years of their lives.

The multi-talented Simon Brook McLachlan, from the original Australian cast of Jersey Boys, will perform with the Robertson Brothers in the 1960’s Variety TV Show at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

Ben said it would be unlike anything the audience had ever seen before, with 150 minutes of ground-breaking and interactive theatrical television experiences, filled with all the fun, music and long forgotten memories of the fabulous 1960s.

“Variety TV Show fans will be excited to know the multi-talented Simon Brook McLachlan, from the original Australian cast of Jersey Boys, will return in 2023 to thrill us with his very special tributes to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, as well as Neil Sedaka together with a brand-new variety show tribute to the much-loved 1960s superstar, Sir Cliff Richard,” he said.

Another huge bonus this year would be the addition of Australia’s internationally acclaimed Roy Orbison tribute artist Dean Bourne, Ben said.

“Dean will perform his very special variety show tribute to the one and only ‘Big O’ and his biggest hits from the 1960s,” he said.

The Robertson Brothers have been performing for 30 years and have appeared at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony, singing the Channel 7 ‘Home and Away’ theme song, plus as backing vocalists on Australia’s top rating talent show, Australian Idol.

The Robertson Brother have toured nationally, and around world supporting the likes of ELO, America and John Denver.
