Kathleen Klein, nee Manderson, celebrated her 102nd birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the day surrounded by some of her family and friends.
Born 23 April 1921, Kathleen has always loved the Bundaberg Region and playing lawn bowls was a commendable achievement for her.
The great-great grandmother was an avid lawn bowler right up until her 90s, and on her 100th birthday celebration she said she had spent more than 50 years as a member of the Brothers Bundaberg Bowls Club.
A twin with one sister and five brothers, Kathleen is a grandmother to 10, a great-grandmother to 18 and she has six great-great grandchildren.
Kathleen celebrated her 102nd Birthday with three sons Mervyn, Richard, and Rex, along with their wives, and families on Sunday 23 April.
Her daughter-in-law Noela Manderson said Kathleen was doing very well and remains living in Gin Gin.
