Childers Festival 2023
The countdown is on for the only festival that stops the Bruce Highway as the Childers Festival gets set to celebrate culture, food and history. Held over four days, the festival will run from Thursday 27 July to Sunday 30 July.

Get ready to enjoy the festivities of this year’s Childers Festival with tickets to events including, Picnic in the Vines, Long Table Dinner, Sugar Mill and Cane Fire Tour and A Night of Burlesque at the Paragon going on sale from 10 am today.

Childers Festival is a jam-packed celebration of the region held between Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July with a number of free activities and ticketed events available.

Council's Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said each year the thriving festival continued to shine a spotlight on the culture, natural beauty and history of the Childers area and tickets to events would again sell fast.

“I know the popular Long Table Dinner is a sought-after affair with tickets selling out in record time last year, within the hour,” Cr Learmonth said.

“Then we have Opera by the Lake, which is a standout event with a beautiful two-hour concert by The 7 Sopranos who will perform on the banks of Lake Redbrook.

“There are new events like Picnic in the Vines and A Night of Burlesque at the Paragon, which I am sure will also be very popular for locals and visitors alike.”

Other ticketed events at this year’s Childers Festival include the Up Late at Childers Arts Space with Gallery Director Rebecca McDuff to take in the festival’s history while enjoying canapes; a Paragon Theatre tour with owner Merissa Ricciardi and a historical bus tour with fourth-generation resident Warren Martin.
