The Fathollahi family made the move to the Bundaberg Region to follow their dreams and bring a new range of car detailing services to a regional community.
Maria and Diego Fathollahi said Coral Auto Detailing specialised in ceramic coating and paint protection film (PPF) installations.
Diego said he grew up in the business as his family owned a car detailing service.
“From the moment I could walk, I was always around cars and watching my father perfect his technique,” he said.
After a 10-year career in corporate horticulture leading large teams and operations across Australia and New Zealand, Diego decided he wanted to slow down.
“Now I’m looking after my mental and physical health and spending time doing something I’m passionate about,” Diego said.
“The flow-on effects to our family life have been huge.
“I have been wanting to pursue this passion of mine since we arrived in Bundaberg in July last year.”
Discovering there was a niche market to provide premium detailing, Diego decided to follow his dream.
He spent time in Brisbane and Melbourne working towards gaining accreditation and certification in both ceramic coating and PPF installations.
“These premium services are available in major cities, so we thought, why not bring the same level of quality and prestige to regional Bundaberg,” Diego said.
The Fathollahi family moved from New Zealand to Bundaberg early last year and have found it the perfect place to raise a family and follow their career aspirations.
Diego said they loved everything about Bundaberg and this region.
“Bundaberg has some of the friendliest people I have met,” he said.
“We have been operating for one month and are overwhelmed by the support of the local community.”
Car detailing business grand opening
To celebrate their new business, Coral Auto Detailing is having a grand opening event on Sunday 20 August from 10 am at 138 Enterprise Street.
Local car groups will showcase their vehicles and representative from Sonax and GTechniq will be in attendance.
