This year’s Bargara Beach Campout hosted by Rum City Rods and Customs will include the inaugural Super Cruise, with hot rods, customs and classics delighting from coast to CBD.
Held this King’s Birthday weekend, the Bargara Beach Campout and Auto-Amazing Car Show will transform the region into a mecca for car enthusiasts.
Club secretary Neil Irvine said the Super Cruise would commence along Bargara’s Esplanade on Saturday afternoon.
“Spectators can line the route to watch the speciality cars cruising,” Neil said.
“Once the Bargara leg of the cruise finishes, the vehicles will run into town through the CBD to Sugarland.”
Auto-Mazing Car Show
Sunday will feature the Auto-Mazing Car Show held at the picturesque Jayteens Park in Bargara.
Showcasing an impressive lineup of hot rods, cars, bikes and caravans, car lovers can appreciate the artistry behind these custom vehicles.
Rum City Rods and Customs said it was expecting over 6,000 spectators to roll through the car show.
“The community can come along and enjoy the hot rods, customs and classics vehicles, with traders, helicopter rides and food vendors also onsite,” Neil said.
“A master of ceremonies will be letting everyone know what’s happening throughout the event.
“Motor inspired artist Geltchy will be a highlight during the show, with the Sign Man also in attendance.”
The three-day event starts on Friday 29 September with various events and activities planned for campout entrants.
