Featured as part of Seniors Month, the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre is hosting a free screening of the musical dramedy Seriously Red.
Seriously Red is directed by Gracie Otto with Krew Boylan playing the lead rambunctious character Red.
After misreading her work party’s dress code Red is fired from her real estate job and finds herself at a crossroad in her life.
So pouring herself a cup of ambition, she trades her nine to five career to pursue her dreams of becoming the world’s greatest Dolly Parton impersonator.
Red tumbles outta bed and into whole new world of tribute artists and impersonators.
Her wild and messy journey attracts the attention of an amorous Elvis impersonator and a powerful booking agent which catapults Red into the top tier of copycat performers.
She becomes the onstage and romantic partner of the world’s top Kenny Rogers impersonator and the lines between reality and fantasy become blurred.
Red finds herself after losing herself in the world of Dolly Parton.
The film was produced with the full support of Dolly Parton and Danny Nozell (executive producer) and features a catalogue of Dolly Parton’s greatest hits.
Seriously Red features a stellar cast including Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale, Celeste Barber, Daniel Webber and a cameo appearance from Dannii Minogue.
