Local school receives infrastructure grant

Bundaberg Christian College awarded grants
Bundaberg Christian College has been awarded two Queensland Government grants.

Bundaberg Christian College is one of 21 non-state schools which has been awarded a Queensland Government infrastructure grant.

Selected independent and Catholic schools across the state will share in more than $55 million to build new classrooms and facilities.

Bundaberg Christian College were approved for $9,270 for an undercover sports facility and $377,674 for the design and construction of an external bus pick up/set down area at the college.

An external bus turning lane will be constructed with works including earthworks, drainage, roadworks, civil landscaping, line marking, signage, pedestrian safety devices and footpaths and remove and reinstate shed and related structures.

Minister for Education Grace Grace said these are significant projects for these schools and will provide necessary educational facilities for students and the school community.

“The State Government is committed to helping all schools develop the infrastructure they need to provide a world class education for students,” she said.

“Especially now when we need to support the building industry, we are proud to be investing in the future of all our schools.”
