His public debut came in 1964 as a member of the Jackson 5, with his solo career kicking off in 1971.

Michael Jackson’s popularity skyrocketed in 1979 with the release of the Off the Wall album, his first with Epic Records and produced by Quincy Jones.

The Thriller album followed in 1982 becoming the biggest selling record of all time and winning Michael Jackson an unprecedented eight Grammys.

More successful albums followed with Bad, Dangerous, HIStory and Invincible.
