Get your tastebuds ready for the 2024 Taste Bundaberg Festival, on this year from 30 August to 8 September.
The popular festival promises a smorgasbord of favourite events alongside new experiences and new faces among the event hosts.
Festival favourite the Taste Bundaberg Market will return this year to the picturesque riverside location of Alexandra Park on Saturday 7 September from 7 am.
The market will include stalls offering fresh local produce, delicious food and drinks, along with live music and cooking demonstration stage.
Mayor Helen Blackburn said this year’s market would see an emphasis on the Bundaberg Region’s abundant fresh produce and high quality producers.
“We have some of the best soils in Australia in the Bundaberg Region, and grow amazing produce,” she said.
“The Taste Bundaberg Market in Alexandra Park will draw together the best of what the region has to offer, in a great family-friendly day out.
“This year we will also have the Taste Trail, when farmers and producers around Bundaberg will throw open the farm gate and welcome visitors to purchase produce and products directly from locals.”
The Taste Bundaberg Festival also celebrates the region’s chefs and food culture, with a range of events and activities throughout the 10 day program.
Mayor Blackburn encouraged everyone to mark the festival dates in the calendar.
“There are so many exciting events coming up as part of the Taste Bundaberg Festival,” she said.
“From dining experiences to cooking demonstrations, picnics and parties, there’s sure to be something to suit everyone.”
The full festival program will be released in June.
