The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre stage will shine with an extraordinary journey of self-determination and Indigenous pride as From Campfire to Stage Light comes to Bundaberg this July.

The show is a celebration of resilience, identity, and cultural pride, telling the life story of celebrated Western Yalanji/Ewamin man, musician, visual artist, and cultural ambassador David Bindi Hudson.

This captivating performance promises to take audiences on a cultural odyssey from the heart of David’s traditional lands to international stages.

David’s storytelling prowess, combined with his mastery of traditional instruments like the didgeridoo, makes for an unforgettable evening.

The show chronicles David’s remarkable journey through music and dance, highlighting his efforts to educate the world about Indigenous Australian culture.

From Campfire to Stage Light is directed by nationally recognised First Nations Director Isaac Drandic, with music and lyrics by Nereace Howes, Nigel Pegrum, and David Hudson.

The performance beautifully intertwines storytelling, songs, and stunning visual design, reflecting David’s evolution as a cultural leader and his co-founding of the award-winning dance troupe, Tjapukai.
