The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre stage will come alive with the uplifting sounds of the Bundaberg Youth Orchestra this Saturday.
One of Queensland longest running regional youth orchestras, The Bundaberg Youth Orchestra boasts a proud history that spans over fifty years.
Under the guidance of musical director and conductor Robert Rotar OAM, the orchestra has a reputation for excellence and always maintaining a high standard of training, inspiring many members to pursue careers as professional musicians.
In recent years, Bundaberg Youth Orchestra musicians have enjoyed performance opportunities with esteemed visiting groups such as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra.
Bundaberg Regional Council Arts, Heritage and Asset Management portfolio spokesperson Cr John Learmonth said Bundaberg Youth Orchestra in Concert is a great evening out for the family.
“This concert is a wonderful opportunity for the community to experience the incredible talents of our region’s young musicians.” he said.
