Residents and visitors can fill their baskets with loads of delicious fresh produce and local wares at the Taste Bundaberg Market on Saturday 7 September.
Returning this year to Alexandra Park, the market will highlight the diversity of high quality produce grown in the region, along with stalls from local producers, makers and suppliers, and a variety of food vendors.
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Tourism, Airport, and Information Technology Services portfolio spokesperson Councillor Steve Cooper said there was lots to enjoy at this year’s market.
“There will be plenty of action on the cooking stage throughout the morning, with recipes that are sure to become family favourites,” Cr Cooper said.
“Market goers will be entertained by great local musicians, and there will be face painting for the kids to enjoy.
“To give people options for access and parking, Council will run a free shuttle bus between Buss Park and the markets, there will be a set down zone out front, and car parking available next to the market site.”
Headlining the cooking stage will be new Taste Ambassador celebrity chef Justine Schofield, who will showcase produce grown in the region including berries, zucchini and sweet potato.
Justine will also chat with fans at a book signing, with copies of her popular cookbooks available for purchase on the day.
