The Noel Coward classic, Blithe Spirit, will be staged in December at the Playhouse Theatre.

Directed by Nigel Dick and Philippa Williams, Blithe Spirit is sure to delight audiences.

“Blithe Spirit is a smash hit comedy concerning fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who has remarried but finds himself haunted, literally, by the ghost of his late first wife, Elvira,” Nigel said.

“Clever, insistent and well aware of Charles’ shortcomings, Elvira is called up by a visiting ‘happy medium’, the eccentric and flighty Madame Arcati”.

Philippa says the play is full of fun and special effects.

“We have a wonderful cast who are really bringing their characters to life, so to speak,” Philippa said.

“There will also be plenty of ‘spirit effects’ as not one, but two, spirits make themselves known to Charles and the rest of the cast”.

Blithe Spirit is part of the 2024 Subscription and is on December 6, 7, 13 and 14 at 7.30 pm, with a matinee Sunday December 8 at 3.00 pm.

Bookings are now open, with tickets selling fast.

The box office will be open weekends from 10 am until 12 noon at the Playhouse Theatre, 2b Steffensen Street, West Bundaberg or by phone 4153 1904 and online 24/7 here.
