An exclusion zone is in place along the Moore Park Beach foreshore from Tuesday 18 February for a period of approximately 8 weeks to facilitate the safe demolition of the old Surf Club building.
A designated working area needs to be strictly maintained to ensure that the removal of hazardous materials can be performed safely. Council are in the process of erecting fencing.
The footpath area in front of the new Surf Club building will remain with beach access available in front of the Holiday Park.
Beach goers are advised to adhere to signage and directions in relation to safe access to the beach in the area and be aware that beach frontage works will continue during this time.
Construction fencing and barrier fencing has been erected on site. Residents on the beach are asked not to go within 50 m of the surf club building from either direction.
