NEW SHADES:
Our new shades are being installed between 10th and 23rd March. During this period, there will be limited access to the greens (unshaded) for playing bowls. You will be advised on the availability of the greens as we know more.

Tuesday 25th February: $300 Open Triples – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.30pm for a 1 pm start.
Thursday 27th February: Night Bowls – names in by 6.00pm ready for a 6.30pm start. Anyone wishing to try Bowls for the first time will be most welcome. Great way to beat the heat and to meet new people. The ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot is played each week with the chance to win some cash.
Friday 28th February: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.30pm for a 1 pm start.

WIDE BAY BOWLS CLASSIC (WBBC)
Burnett has entered a team in Division 2 for the WBBC. Div 2 consists of Men’s Fours, Men’s Triples, Men’s Pairs, Mixed Fours and Ladies Triples. Therefore, we require 11 men and 5 ladies each week. The following Clubs have nominated for Div 2 – Bargara, The Waves, Urangan, Pialba, Woodgate and Burnett. We will have 3 home games and 2 away games. The Draw has been published and is on the Club Noticeboard. Round 1 is on Saturday 8th March Vs Woodgate at Woodgate. The Club Selectors will meet shortly to select the teams for round 1.
BURNETT PRESIDENTS DAY
President Dave will be hosting his Presidents Day on Sunday 2nd March commencing at 1.00pm. All Burnett members (Men & Ladies) are requested to attend to play against the visiting teams from the other District Clubs. Please place your name on the nomination sheet at the Club.

CLUB NEWS
BISTRO UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT – the ‘Sage and Salt’ Bistro is now open with lunch from 11.30am – 2.00pm and open again from 4.30pm – 8.00pm. Come check out the new menu and the Bistro new opening hours.
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11am – 9pm, Thursday 2pm – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
Friday 28th February – the Goose Club raffle will be drawn at 7.00pm – tickets are $1 each with 15+ prizes to be won. Tickets can be purchased from the bar or bought on the night. The members draw will be conducted after the Goose Club draw and is currently $90 – members must be present at the draw to claim the cash. Live entertainment on Friday evening will be provided by Frostbite. So come down to the Club for a great night out with the chance to win some cash and raffle prizes. The Bistro (Under new Management) will be operating on a full menu, so come along and try something from the new menu.
