McDonald’s Australia will start construction on a new restaurant in Kepnock (106 Fe Walker Street, Kepnock), injecting over $10.1 million into the local economy and creating over 220 jobs for local construction workers and restaurant employees.
McDonald’s Kepnock will be owned and operated by Licensee, Cristina Davis, who joined McDonald’s as a Crew Member over 28 years ago and now employs over 260 members of the community across three existing restaurants in Bargara, Bundaberg and Bundaberg City.
“We are excited to start construction on a new restaurant in Bundaberg and create 100 construction jobs, as well as a further 120 operational jobs once the restaurant opens,” Cristina said.
“McDonald’s Kepnock is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local causes and groups that are important to our customers and people.
“We look forward to serving up our great tasting, great quality menu once the restaurant opens later this year.”
McDonald’s Kepnock will be fitted with modern décor and feature a dual lane drive thru, dedicated partner delivery room, McCafé and PlayPlace for customers to enjoy.
McDonald’s Kepnock will be fully equipped with solar panels, a heat recovery water system and LED lighting, helping to reduce emissions and energy use in the restaurant.
McDonald’s is currently hiring a variety of crew, barista, management and maintenance roles in restaurants across Bundaberg.

Very nice if we can get a few more businesses open the unemployment will stay at around record lows. I’d say we have beaten the problem?
How about a Umart somewhere?
What we should do is get the people who left the regions back here. If the unemployment is fixed and we can offer them a future it would sure beat them struggling in the Capital Cities where apartments are now ~$750,000+ & basic Homes are over $1 million. Rents in the Capitals are also huge making saving extremely hard.
You can still afford to buy a home & raise a family in our region. Living here would save around $30,000PA repayments or you could pay off your home 2x as fast.
