Tonka is a young mixed breed dog waiting at Red Collar Rescue to find his forever home.
He has come a long way since first arriving at the shelter in a skeletal state but is now looking and feeling much better.
Staff at Red Collar Rescue said Tonka had met a couple of the other dogs and enjoyed playing with them so they felt he would suit most homes.

Red Collar Rescue
Red Collar Rescue take in death row dogs from various locations throughout the region and give them temporary homes before finding their own families.
They have been rescuing and re-homing dogs since they first opened in 2019 with the aim to find the right home for the right dog.
Their prices range from $450 upwards and all dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and tested for heart-worm.
Adoption also includes free dog food and training support.
