Competition results

Congratulations to Keith Whalley for winning the Championship Singles Final.

Keith defeated Cameron Walker 25-9. The game was close for the first 8 ends and then Keith played some consistent draw bowls to create a winning gap.

Keith will now play the District C of C Playoff this coming weekend.

Play on Saturday will be at Burnett with Keith playing Tony Townson from Bargara at 1 pm.

Semi-Finals and the Final will be played at Bundaberg Club on Sunday commencing at 10 am.

Competition call

Saturday 21 June: Championship Pairs Final: Keegan Lankowski, Mark Mizzi Vs Tim Clark, Des Kemp.

Any issues with the above Competition, then please contact the Games Director (Keith Whalley).

City vs Country

Thank you to all Burnett members that participated in the annual City Vs Country challenge that was held at Burnett on Sunday.

Conditions were fine and sunny with the greens running quite quick. City and Country were locked at 263-263 points after the conclusion of the game.

A countback on rink wins could not break the deadlock as both sides won 7 rinks apiece.

Therefore, the Match Committee decided to declare a drawn game.

Thank you to the District Patron Rex Clements and to Burnett Bowls Club for donating the prizemoney for the day.

Also, thank you to all the Burnett volunteers that helped support the day.

Special mention to Ken and Sue from Ken’s Kepnock Butchery for supplying the sausages for the BBQ as I am sure it was appreciated by the bowlers.

Well done to all!
