The Hill of Promise Long Table Dinner returns in 2025, bringing a unique dining experience to the heart of the winery during the Childers Festival.

Winemakers Terrance and Mary Byrne will once again celebrate local produce, fine wine and rich tradition, treating guests to an unforgettable evening.

Mary said the seasonal menu is paired with handcrafted, preservative-free wines, beginning with a glass of 3 Marys bubbly and tasty appetisers.

“Guests in previous years have commented that the little element of ‘surprise’ seems to be one of the attractions,” she said.

A festival favourite, the Long Table Dinner provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the region’s culinary traditions and experience the true essence of local food and wine in an intimate setting among the barrels.

“This region has a reputation for the quality and variety of its wonderful fruit, vegetable and tree crops,” Mary said.

“What better marriage than a dinner in a working winery using local produce as the basis for a Sicilian-inspired meal and traditionally crafted wines, enjoyed around a long table!”

Tickets for the 2025 Hill of Promise Long Table Dinner are $80 each and will include a two-course meal crafted from seasonal local produce, expertly paired with handcrafted wines from a winemaker proud of his Sicilian heritage.
