Tuesday 17 June: Winners: Graham McLennan, Wayne Watson.

Sportsman: Warren Downey, Ross Hussey.

Thursday Night 19 June: Winners: Del and Niffty.

The ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot was not won and will now be $181+ next Thursday.

Friday 20 June: Winners: Kerry Melham, Wayne Watson, Darryl Austin.

Sportsman: Gino Mizzi, Keith Whalley.

Competition

All competition draws are on the boards and members are requested to arrange games by mutual agreement where possible.

Competition results

Congratulations to Keegan Lankowski and Mark Mizzi for winning the Championship Pairs Final.

They defeated Tim Clark and Des Kemp 36-4.

Keegan and Mark will now play the Bundaberg District Champion of Champions Playoff on the 5 – 6 of July.

We wish them well.

Champion of champion singles

Congratulations to Keith Whalley for winning the Bundaberg District Champion of Champion Singles.

Keith defeated Tony Townson (Bargara) 25-24 on Saturday.

Then defeated Alan Adam (Elliott Heads) 25-10 in the semi-Final on Sunday morning and defeated Terry McCrystal (Brothers) 25-15 in the Final.

Keith will now play the Zone playoffs at the end of July. Well done!

Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.

Wednesday 25 June: Ladies Day – Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed.

Names in by 12 pm, green fees paid by 12.30 pm for a 1 pm start.

Thursday 26 June: Night Bowls – names in by 6 pm for a 6.30 pm start.

Anyone wishing to learn how to play bowls for the first time will be most welcome.

Sunday 6 July: Caribou Cup – Open 3 bowl triples, 2 games of 13 ends, winner Vs winners, losers Vs losers, total prize money $1000+, paddle pop draw for teams (random draw for teams), good raffle prizes.

Nominate as a Lead, Second or Skip prior to the draw.

Tuesday 8 July: 50/50 Day – where 50 percent of the green fees for the day is returned as prize money.

Friday 18 July: Vince Rush Birthday – $200 Sponsored Day. Nomination sheet at the Club.

Club opening hours are:

  • Monday – closed
  • Tuesday – 10 am to 5.30 pm
  • Wednesday – 11 am to 9 pm
  • Thursday – 2 pm to 9 pm
  • Friday – 10 am to 9 pm
  • Saturday – 10 am to 6 pm (10pm for functions)
  • Sunday Bowls Days – 9 am to 2 pm

Friday 27 June – the Goose Club raffle will be drawn at 7 pm – tickets are $1 each with 12 prizes to be won.

Tickets can be purchased from the bar or bought on the night.

The members draw will be conducted after the Goose Club draw – members must be present at the draw to claim the $380.

Live entertainment on Friday evening will be provided by ‘Frost Bite’.

So come down to the Club for a great night out with the chance to win some cash and raffle prizes.

The Bistro will be operating on a full menu, so come along and try something from the new menu.

Let me introduce to you our Open Mixed Pairs Champions for 2025: Fiona and Clinton Dowling.

In a very hard fought game against seasoned campaigner’s Maurie Strano and Lorelle Mattson, Team Dowling fought to the very end to take the game 21/15.
