When you see an award-winning musician is touring through town you don’t expect to see working dogs, horses and a goat or two as the special guests, but that is exactly what you will get at the upcoming outback experience of Tom Curtain’s ‘We’re Still Here Tour’.

The family friendly show is sure to entertain young and old as it brings a slice of the tourism award winning Katherine Outback Experience to the Bundaberg Region on December 12.

Dress your kids ready to work as you never know who might be needed to help during the show!

“The show is all about the training of the dogs and the horses,” Tom said.

“It shows the importance of a working dog.

“Things don’t always go to plan but it’s just all a part of it.

“It’s real and it’s raw and very much what goes on.”

Following the engaging and interactive outback experience the entertainment will continue with a one-hour music show with Tom Curtain and special guests.

The outback experience tour is a celebration of the multiple Golden Guitar winner’s fourth studio album ‘We’re Still Here’ which commemorates the resilience of farming families and their communities, particularly in times of adversity.

Tom is passionate about bringing his show to communities that often miss out on this type of entertainment.

“Traveling through different regions has really opened my eyes up to the importance of coming together and letting your hair down for a bit,” Tom said.

Last year Tom released his song ‘Speak Up’ (featuring Sara Storer) with all proceeds going to Dolly’s Dream which endeavours to create positive change and prevent the lives of children being lost as a result of bullying.

Tom continues as an ambassador for Dolly’s Dream and will be visiting students at Gooburrum State School during his time in the Bundaberg Region to share this important message.

You can enjoy Tom Curtain’s We’re Still Here Tour at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct on Thursday, 12 December from 6pm to 8:30pm.
