AgForum returns to Bundaberg in 2021

AgForum
The AgForum 2021 will be held in Bundaberg this Friday.

Primary producers, agribusinesses and stakeholders of the agriculture sector will come together today to discuss some of the industry’s most important topics at AgForum 2021.

This year's event, held Friday 30 April, will be headlined with a keynote address on export opportunities and megatrends in international markets by Trade and Investment Commissioners from Indonesia and Hong Kong.

“Trade and Investment Queensland is proud to be a major supporting partner of this year’s event and it has been great to work in collaboration with numerous stakeholders to bring the event together for the agriculture sector” Diane Anstee, Principal Trade and Investment Officer with Trade and Investment Queensland said.

Event organisers have arranged an impressive line-up of speakers and panellists for this year’s event who will be covering a number of topics that are currently affecting agriculture.

Bree Grima, Managing Director of Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers said the event would be a great opportunity to hear from a diverse range of speakers.

“Topics include export opportunities, employment law and strategies that local growers are using to attract and retain a reliable workforce,” she said.

“There will also be presentations on agtech, water innovation and the Wide Bay Burnett Ag Strategy among others.”

Due to the COVID pandemic, the AgForum was postponed in 2020 and organisers and participants alike are thrilled to see the event proceeding in 2021.

To make the AgForum accessible to as many people as possible, participants will have the option to attend either in person at CQ University in Bundaberg or online.

For those who attend in person, a complimentary entry ticket to Agrotend is also on offer.

“We recognise the value in partnering with Agrotrend and encourage all participants to complete their day out at the Agricultural field day,” Marcus McCormick, AusIndustry Regional Manager for Wide Bay and Sunshine Coast said.
