Milbi Festival

As part of this year’s Milbi Festival the community is invited to take part in the Tangaroa ReefClean Beach Clean Up at Burnett Heads.

Get up close and personal with some of the region’s most-loved animals during the Milbi Festival’s unique experience Breakfast at the Zoo.

A spectacular highlight on the festive calendar is the upcoming Milbi Gala Ball and last year it raised $23,000 for the Sea Turtle Alliance.

Aria-nominated artist Emily Wurramara will open the 2022 Milbi Festival at the Sunset Launch event on Friday, bringing residents and visitors together for an afternoon of entertainment to celebrate culture and community.

As part of the Tucker and Tunes event, Taribelang Aboriginal Corporation has created the menu, featuring local traditional ingredients.

Milbi Festival’s exclusive Ocean Sounds event will not only provide particpants with an amazing experience on the Great Barrier Reef, it will also give local chefs the opportunity to learn from the best in business when it takes to the sea next week.
