Boomerang Bags Bundaberg
Join the crew from Boomerang Bags Bundaberg for their first sewing bee of 2019 on Saturday, 16 February.

The Boomerang Bags movement has come to Bundaberg and desperately needs sewers.

Boomerang Bags is about making bags, diverting waste, starting conversations, connecting with each other, fostering sustainable behaviour, and having fun!

There are now 17 communities already making these awesome bags across Australia.

Come and hang with the hippest crew of inexperienced (and experienced) sewers you'll ever meet.

We take donations of recycled fabric to make bags that will be placed in shopping centres, the community, and basically anywhere that will take them, to encourage people to stop and think about their decision to use plastic bags when shopping.

Volunteers don't necessarily need to sew. Tasks are broken down into ironing, cutting fabric, stamping logos, delivering bags, collecting fabric donations and of course spreading the word!

WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF MORE SEWERS

Our first sewing bee for the year will be on Saturday, 16 February at 9am at Bundaberg Christian College. Join our Facebook page Boomerang Bags Bundaberg for more information.

Message the group on Facebook, otherwise come and hang with us sometime and sew for sustainability.
